Judy Powers was the Chair of the 2002 NRC Stake The Committee Chairs all reported to her. This trial was one of the smoothest running events ever held due to the great Committee Chairs, along with their hard working volunteer members --- a total of close to 140 people --- that were coordinated by Judy. The effort put in to make this Stake happen started a year ago.
Judy is co-owner of the
2001 and 2002 National Amateur Field Champion Candlewoods Ramblin Man (handled by her husband Jim).

Saturday evening there was a traditional social event that all were invited to. Here are. Dennis Voigt and Mike Lardy at the party.

Every morning the many participants, workers, and gallery came in the main gate of Busch Wildlife area in front of this sign. However, when each day started it was still dark and only the red guide lights of the traffic committee could be seen.

The workers were out before the sun came up every morning. Handler/dog teams watched the red
sunrise as the light approached so the test dogs could run in the First Series.

The announcer, Luther Davies, asks Mike a question. With Mike is FC AFC Candlewood’s Rita Reynolds.
