First, Second, and Third Series
The First and Second Series were combined. The First Series was a double and the Second a blind. The two series were held in a field of cut grain on the Boatright-Goodrich Ranch, Oakdale, California. A dike and ditch bordered the right side of the test area. Multiple holding blinds brought the handler/dog teams to line.

The two right lines are a double for the First Series. The first bird down was thrown off of a dike to the left and retired. The flyer was thrown to the right (center line).
The handler then moved to another mat and the blind was then run on the left behind the flyer gun station. The end of the blind was by a clearly identified hay bale considerably behind the flyer station.

The Third Series was a water triple with two retired stations.

The last bird down was a flyer against a hill.

The center retired bird was thrown onto an island.

The first bird down was a retired mark thrown on the side of a hill.
