Candlewood's Ramblin Man, owned by Jim & Judy Powers and
trained by Mike Lardy and assistant trainer Dave Smith, won the 2001 National Amateur Championship in
Virginia, Minnesota. Jim handled Ram to the championship
competing against more than 100 dogs in ten series over the course
of a week.
This
is the fourth consecutive National Amateur championship won with
dogs trained by Mike Lardy. In addition to having trained the
four most recent NAFC's, Mike also trained the dogs that won the
championship in 1996, 1992 and 1990.
